Harman Phoenix 200 ISO 35mm x 36exp is the world's newest color film. It is also the first ever color film manufactured in Mobberley, United Kingdom, by the same company that manufactures ILFORD black and white film and paper. Like the mythical Phoenix, this new film represents hope, rebirth, and transformation. It signals the start of a new legacy for Harman and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for one of the world's largest photographic film manufacturers.

This quirky, experimental film produces high contrast images with strong, visible grain and punchy, vibrant colors. It's unlike any other color film available in the market today. Results posted online will look unmistakably analog.

With a DX-coded cassette and a box speed of ISO 200, Phoenix can be rated between ISO 100 and 400 but performs best in good, consistent light. On brighter/sunnier days or when shooting into the light, there is a possibility of halation (halo effect) giving you an endless possibility for creativity.

Over or under exposure is not Phoenix's Friend! Getting the exposure right will help you get the best results so we suggest metering for the mid-tone to retain shadow or highlight details.

Part of the fun of shooting film is expecting the unexpected and the Harman Phoenix delivers exactly that from its uniquely colored negatives to chance encounters with coating anomalies.

Photo labs using machines like Noritsu or Frontier should use the technical data provided to dial in for Phoenix. Phoenix does very well when scanned with a DSLR scanning setup.
